Two YCP Senior Leaders Given Big Task, to Miss Cabinet Spot?

Killing the suspense over the cabinet reshuffle, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had recently broken the news of the reshuffle of his cabinet. The news gave birth to various predictions and analyses on who will get a second chance and spot in the new cabinet.

It is said that the work on whom to be taken into the cabinet has been started. It was earlier reported that Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and V. Vijayasai Reddy were given the responsibility of finalizing the candidates and based on the report they submitted, CM Jagan would take a final call.

Now a piece of news is doing rounds among the media circles which say that two senior leaders of YCP will not be taken into the cabinet and the same was informed to the leaders to which they have reportedly given their nod.

Going by the information, two senior leaders who will miss a spot in the cabinet are believed to be Botsa Satyanarayana and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy who are the Cabinet Ministers in the current cabinet. They hold the crucial portfolios of Municipal Administration and Urban Development and Panchayat Raj, Mining and Rural Development respectively.

One wonders why YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had decided to not take the senior leaders into the cabinet as it might send the wrong message to the party workers and cadre. But there is a big reason behind this. YS Jagan is aiming at the bigger cause and doesn’t want to take any chances.

In the 2019 polls, YCP had won many seats narrowly and the gap between the votes polled for TDP and YCP was very less. To see that such things won't repeat and the vote percentage gets increased, YCP has started its groundwork, and granting the big task of taking the party to the public and strengthening the party is part of the work.

Given the fact that both leaders have been in politics for many years now and enjoy a good hold on their respective regions, the YCP wants to use their image as the mileage to make the party strong keeping the 2024 polls in mind. We have to wait and see how the leaders will handle the task.
