UK Visa Fee To Get Cheaper

Indian Tourists to UK has been on a declining mode since the past few years. It has come to the stage that Indians began preferring it's neighboring country France more than Britain.
As per 'Britain and India: Building A New Partnership' report by Royal Common-Wealth Society (RCS), Around 6 lakh Indian Tourists visited France in 2016 and that's 1.85 lakh more than that of UK. While Tourists to France increased by 5.3 percent, There is a decline by 1.73 percent in the case of UK during the same period.
Royal Common-Wealth Society recommended UK Government to slash the Tourist Visa Fee drastically to attract Indian Tourists. At present, UK charges 388 pounds (Rs 35,000 approx) for two-years visa. RCS suggested visa fee should be 89 pounds (Rs 8,000 approx) to alter the situation completely. The UK Think Tank says Visa Fee reduction will strengthen bilateral ties and boosts economy.
