Ukraine:Friends Recall incidents on sadful day of Naveen's Death

There is no change in the tense situations in the war-hit Ukraine. Amid intense war from Russia, Indians stranded in Ukraine are facing severe issues and they are alleging that they are not getting enough support and guidance from the Ministry of External Affairs. As an unwanted incident, an Indian student lost his life in Ukraine, marking the first casualty among Indians since the war had started.
The victim was identified as Naveen, who is pursuing his MBBS in Ukraine. The 21-year-old belongs to Karnataka. He breathed his last when the Russian troops attacked the Kharkiv city in the country. When Naveen came out to get some groceries, the attack happened, claiming his life.
Naveen's Friends spoke to the media on the sad incident to give an insight into what happened on the day. They said that, when the Indian students had decided to leave the Kharkiv city, Naveen asked the students to wait in the city and by doing so, they can take the juniors with them.
The students made plans to leave the nation and the first batch of students left the city on Monday. When the rest of the students were gearing up to leave the city, Naveen urged them to wait for some more time. As the juniors were new to the country, Naveen decided to stand beside the juniors and take them along, Naveen friends said.
Along with a few other students, Naveen stayed inside an army bunker. When they ran out of food and groceries, Naveen had decided to go out and get food for the students. He asked other students to send some money and he stepped out.
The market Naveen went to buy groceries was very close to the bunker and the distance was less than 100 meters. He messaged fellow Indian students while going out. Minutes after he messaged them, they called Naveen back to know how he was. Sadly, Naveen lost his life by then and the same was informed to the students by a woman.
Naveen spoke to his family members back in India on the day of the sad incident too. Hours after he spoke to them, tragedy hit him and he lost his life. He has been in constant touch with his family members on the phone.
