UN Brands Masood Azhar As Global Terrorist

The United Nations Security Council has finally offered 'Global Terrorist' designation for Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar who is suspected to be behind the Pulwama Terror Attack. India moved the proposal to designate as global terrorist in 2009. China lifting the technical hold on the proposal to impose ban on Masood Azhar fetched the victory for India after 10 years.
Syed Akbaruddin who is India's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador tweeted: 'Big, Small, All Join Together. Masood Azhar designated as a Terrorist in @UN Sanctions list. Grateful to all for their support'.
After this move, Pakistan Government informed it would start enforcing the UN sanctions imposed on Masood Azhar without any delay.
As per media reports, Masood Azhar was under house arrest in Bahawalpur after the Balakot Air Strikes on February 26th. Later, He was shifted to Islamabad for safety reasons.
