The second wave of Covid is creating havoc across the country. The single-day cases and fatalities are being reported at record numbers. Compared to the first wave, the cases and casualties have doubled.
With the country struggling from the deadly virus, the Centre has been facing criticism from the opposition parties in the country and the foreign media as well.
Amid the second wave scare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's charisma and following have also started to fall. Social media is flooded with jokes and memes on how the Centre has failed to contain the virus spread.
US data intelligence company Morning Consult, which tracks the rating of various global leaders has stated that Narendra Modi's ratings have fallen to 63 percent this week. The ratings are the lowest ratings since August 2019.
