Polavaram Project In Danger Zone: Undavalli
X
Undavalli Arun Kumar came down heavily on PM Narendra Modi for comparing Andhra-Telangana People to India-Pakistan rivalry during his poll campaigning in Bihar. 'Modi said Telugu People in Andhra and Telangana aren't maintaining eye-contact just alike Indians-Pakistanis. It's not right on part of a PM to make such a comment. There is no hatred among people of AP and Telangana. Modi is doing this for political gains,' he alleged.

At the Meet The Press in Vijayawada, Undavalli opined, 'Polavaram is in danger zone as the land at the Irrigation Project is shrinking. There is every possibility of Rajahmundry getting submerged if Polavaram wasn't built properly. 80 percent of the land will receive abundant water if Polavaram gets completed. I kept saying that the approach of TDP Government isn't right. Crores have been spent to take people to Polavaram but the Govt didn't respond when I offered for an Open Debate. While Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma told water will be released from June this year, Chandrababu Naidu has recently said Project will be ready by next year. If the project wasn't constructed properly, There won't be Rajahmundry and nearby villages in the map. Next elections will happen only after 5 years. At least now, CM should speak the truth. How will Govt pay Rs 30,000 crore for people of submerged villages? Babu have no intention to complete Polavaram and that is why he is looking at it from political angle'.

Undavalli told he fails to understand the dispute between CM and CS in AP. He alleged Chandrababu Naidu has been targeting Chief Secretary because LV Subramaniam didn't allow the clearance of bills to the Pro-TDP Camp.

The Former MP questioned whether any CM in the country made the comment 'I don't know if my vote has gone into my party account or not'. He advised Babu to control his irritation and remain calm instead of making a hue & cry over EVMs as there will be no use of creating unnecessary controversies.
