Undavalli Differs With Jagan's Viewpoint
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 May 2019 10:42 AM GMTUpon meeting the Prime Minister, YS Jaganmohan Reddy issued a statement - 'As Centre doesn't need our support to establish the Government, I will ask PM to accord Special Category Status for AP every time I would be meeting him'.
Undavalli Arun Kumar differed with the viewpoint of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He reminded that Special Category Status is a promise offered by then PM on the floor of the House and it's part of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. He stressed that any government at the centre has the responsibility to fulfil the promise.
The Former MP opined Vadarevu and Nizampatnam Industrial Corridor (VANPIC) which was the dream project of late YSR led to the jail term of YS Jagan but people of that region voted for YCP. He appealed the newly elected CM to offer priority to VANPIC during his rule. Interestingly, He also commented that there is nothing wrong if AP shares one of its ports with Telangana.
Undavalli didn't mind saying he doesn't want Narendra Modi to retain power. He opined neither Chandrababu Naidu nor Pawan Kalyan need to get demoralised with the failure. He claimed to be having no intension to join YSR Congress Party.
