Unhappy with YSRCP, is Vallabhaneni Vamsi in a rethink mode?
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 March 2022 7:23 AM GMTIs Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi trying to mend fences with the TDP? Is he planning to make a ghar wapsi of sorts and retain the party ticket to contest from Gannavaram assembly constituency? Is he working hard to win the favour of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu?
It appears so. Vamsi, who had won on the TDP ticket in 2014 and 2019, later joined hand with the ruling YSRCP. However, he stopped short of joining the YSRCP to avoid the invocation of the Anti-Defection Law. He remained in the TDP in name, but worked for the interests of the YSRCP.
Egged on by his friend and minister Kodali Nani, he made some nasty comments against Chandrababu. The comments were opposed by many neutral persons too. Left with no option, he even expressed regrets at making such comments.
Meanwhile, the YSRCP too did not back him. Vamsi is increasingly finding himself out of place in the YSRCP. He is feeling that the party has not given him his due.
He is upset that he has been ignored while constituting the house committee on the Pegasus issue. More upsetting for him is the fact that another TDP defector Maddali Giri was made a member of the committee.
So, sources say that he is trying to get pally with Chandrababu naidu again. He is using his mediators to get close to the TDP again. If given a chance, he is said to be planning to contest on the TDP ticket. However, the YSRCP is discounting these rumours.
