Union Health Minister says, 11,300 'Made In India' ventilators dispatched.
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 July 2020 10:25 AM GMTIn the wake of the situations in India turning to worse from bad, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare said so far a total of 11,300 'Made in India' ventilators have been dispatched. As of now, 6,154 ventilators were delivered to the hospitals accordingly.
The Union Health Minister took to Twitter to share the news of 'Make In India' ventilators were sent to hospitals. In his Tweet, he also said so far 72,293 oxygen cylinders were delivered.
"So far, 11,300 'Make In India' ventilators have been dispatched; 6,154 delivered to hospitals. Ministry of Health is also supplying 1.02 lakh oxygen cylinders across India; 72,293 delivered," Union Minister's Tweet read.
He went on to say that, as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat, so far over two crore N95 Masks and over one crore PPE Kits were provided for free of cost. Along with this, more than 6.12 crore HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine) tablets were also distributed.
Looking at the cases in India, in the past 24 hours, India reported the highest surge of single-day cases with 22,771 fresh infections, taking the toll of total cases to 6,48,315.
