In the letter, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat asked both the Chief Ministers to not start new projects without approval from the Apex Council. The Union Minister urged the CM duo to held the second meeting of the Apex Council very soon.
He wrote the letters hours after the Apex Council chaired a meeting on the Rayalaseema Lift Scheme and issued orders that AP don't need to seek the permission from the NGT.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat maintained that there is no coordination between the Telugu state Chief Ministers and with this, these sorts of disputes are surfacing regularly.
Earlier Telangana government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao knocked the doors of the Supreme Court over the water disputes with fellow Telugu state Andhra Pradesh.
