Union Minister Sadanand Gowda hits back at Prakash Raj who made shocking remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence on the murder of Journalist Gauri Lankesh.
Sadanand Gowda: 'Prakash Raj is a great actor. But, He is backing Left Parties in the recent past. The views expressed by him doesn't gel well with the people. When an Actor threatens to return the awards, Why should he accept them in the first place? This is my personal opinion'.
The Minister made these remarks as Prakash Raj was selected for Dr Kota Shivaram Karanth Huttara Prashanth award as a mark of recognition for his contribution to Indian Cinema. PR is yet to make his stand clear on this particular award.
Earlier, Prakash Raj has clarified he never wanted to return his National Awards and it's just the media which misconstructed his statement. 'I am not a fool to give my National Awards which make me so proud,' he said.
