Peacock Denied Entry Into Plane! Why?

United Airlines refused to allow a US Woman to carry her pet (peacock) in the flight citing the creature failed to meet the guidelines such as weight and size.
People were really surprised to see a Peacock waiting at the terminal of Newark Liberty International Airport for boarding pass. This isn't the first time Owner attempted to fly with the peacock but had been turned away. United Airlines refunded the Woman's ticket and a cab was provided to take her back to the hotel.
The Airlines issued a statement confirming denial of boarding to the passenger who arrived to the airport with the animal. 'We informed the Passenger about our reservations on three occasions even before their arrival to airport but that person wouldn't take no for an answer,' it read.
Brookyln-based artist Ventiko adopted the peacock named Dexter in 2014. There is even an Instagram page of the animal. A lot of people have extended emotional support to the Owner after coming to know about this episode.
Animals will be permitted to fly upon submitting proper documentation 48 hours prior to scheduled departure. The passenger need to specify his need for carrying the animal.
