United States Reports Highest Spike In Covid-19 Cases With Over 2 Lakh Infections

The United States continues to fear the ongoing Covid-19 as the nation reported the highest spike in fresh Covid-19 infections, the day after total Covid-19 cases surpassed the mammoth 10 million-mark in the United States.
The data collected by the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) stated that the United States reported the highest surge in new infections of Covid-19 with over two lakh infections.
The United States reported as many as 2,01,961 fresh infections in the last 24 hours, which takes the total toll of infection in the nation to 10,242,754, Johns Hopkins data said.
This marks the sixth consecutive day, the United States reported more than one lakh Covid-19 infections.
The United States started to witness the deadly wrath of the pandemic since the nation went for the Presidential elections. On the day of elections, nearly one lakh fresh cases were reported.
Since then, the fresh cases have continued to surge, while a record of fresh cases were reported with over two lakh infections in the past 24 hours. On Tuesday alone, more than 61,000 people were hospitalized which is a record.
Looking at the global scenario, the total infections topped the 51.3 million mark, while the global fatalities in connection with Covid-19 went past 1,270,170.
India(8,591,730) Brazil (5,699,005), France (1,857,309), Russia (1,802,762), Spain (1,381,218), Argentina (1,262,476), the UK (1,237,198) are the worst-affected nations after United States.
