Unnav Rape Victim dies after developing 90 % burns
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Dec 2019 6:14 AM GMTIn a shocking turn of events, the rape victim of Uttar Pradesh's Unnao has rushed to the hospital by airlifting her to Delhi after she was set ablaze by five persons reportedly has lost her life.
"She [the Unnao rape victim] suffered a cardiac arrest at 11:10 pm and we tried to resuscitate her, but she could not survive and at 11:40 pm, she died," the hospital officials said.
"Despite our best efforts, she did not survive. Her condition deteriorated towards the evening. She had a cardiac arrest around 11:10 pm. We tried to resuscitate her, but she passed away around 11:40 pm," officials added.
The victim developed 90% of burns and she walked for one kilometer with and spoke to the police officials her self.
She was allegedly set on fire by the accused who was out on bail. This horrific incident took place one kilometer away from her home. She was going to Raebareli for the case hearing in the rape case when the attack took place.
The police said, she was reportedly raped a few months ago and she had filed a complaint in March this year. The victim and one of the prime accused were married last year allegedly, a year ago against their family wishes. After both the families did not approve their relationship, the couple got separated.
NCP leader Supriya Sule felt very bad after knowing the incident, and said: "We need to ensure she gets justice as well as all other rape victims."
"Another innocent life lost to rape. Extremely saddened to hear about the demise of the Unnao Rape Victim. My heartfelt condolences. May she rest in Peace. We need to ensure she gets justice as well as all other rape victims...enough is enough....," read her Tweet.
