Comparisons were drawn between Sachin's son Arjun Tendulkar and Mumbai wonder kid Pranav Dhanwade on Social Media over the selection for West Zone Under-16 squad. While Arjun Tendukar found a place in the squad, Pranav Dhanawade who is a World Record holder got unnoticed. Netizens started blaming that Sachin's influence helped his son find a spot in the squad in place of Pranav Dhanawade.
In reality, Arjun Tendulkar's selection has nothing to do with Pranav Dhanawade. Actually, Arjun was selected for West Zone Under-16 even before Pranav scored 1009 runs in 323 balls. Its just based on his performance as an all-rounder (A Century, 4 Wickets) in Payyade Trophy, Arjun was selected for the West Zone.
On the other hand, Pranav Dhanawade wasn't even a member of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Under 16 team. In that case, how could he be selected for West Zone?
