UP girl gang-raped in Jaipur, video made viral on social media, 3 people arrested

A heinous case of gang rape was reported in Rajasthan's Jaipur city. The incident came to light after a viral video of the heinous crime went viral on social media. Three of the accused were arrested by the cops.
Going into detail, a woman who is a sex worker by profession, was allegedly gang-raped by at least 10 persons. The incident took place in October 2020. After the video went viral on social media, the police identified the woman from Uttar Pradesh.
After tracing the woman, the cops took the statement from the victim. Based on her statement, the cops nailed three accused. One of them is said to have recorded the act, while a person acted as a middleman reportedly.
Additional commissioner of police (crime) Ajay Pal Lamba said the video, which they received from some of their sources on March 6, indicated that it appeared to have happened in Jaipur.
The accused trio who was arrested by the cops is identified as Abhishek, Monty, and Sanju. The three accused are living in Rajasthan's Jaipur, the incident also took place in Jaipur reportedly.
Talking about the case, Additional Police Commissioner Ajaypal Lamba said the police teams have been sent to various places to nab the accused.
According to the FIR lodged by the cops, the incident took place on October 19, 2020. The victim was staying at a Hotel. Sanju, one of the arrested accused sent the girl with a boy. The boy took the woman in a car. After snatching mobile phone from the woman, five people reportedly raped her in the vehicle and recorded the act. The accused told the woman that the video would be made viral on social media if she complained this to anyone. She returned to UP fearing this.
