UP Polls: Former Miss UP to contest on Congress Ticket!

Ahead of the forthcoming general elections, all the political parties are playing their cards right keeping the Uttar Pradesh election siren in mind. Compared to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), the opposition parties are way ahead as far as the election arrangements are concerned.
The grand old Congress party which is trying its best to win the elections had finalized as many as 125 candidates who will run the Uttar Pradesh elections on the Congress tickets. The major share of candidates is women candidates that include the mother of Unnao rape victim mother.
Out of the 50 women candidates, one name had caught everyone's attention. Actress and Miss Bikini India Archana Gautam was fielded by the Congress party from the Hastinapur constituency. She had joined the Congress party earlier last year in November.
The Congress party is going ahead with the slogan of women empowerment. This is the reason why close to half of the Assembly seats were given to the women candidates, who belong to various fields. ‘Ladki hoon, Lad Sakti hoon' is the slogan of the grand old party for the upcoming general elections.
The Congress high command had expressed its confidence in Archana Gautam compared to the seniors and fielded her as one of the candidates to run the upcoming general elections.
The 26-year-old Archana Gautam is a known face in the entertainment spectrum. The Meerut-born girl has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the International Institute of Management and Technical Studies(IIMT). She ventured into acting too.
Looking into her modeling career, Archana Gautam added multiple titles to her name. Back in 2014, she was crowned the Miss Uttar Pradesh title, followed by the Miss Bikini India and Miss Cosmos India titles in 2018. She had won two titles in the same year.
The model-turned-actress tried her luck in acting as well. Having made her debut with Great Grand Masti, Archana Gautam appeared in films like Haseena Parker and Baaraat Company.
The Meerut girl Archana Gautam forayed into the small screen spectrum as well. She appeared in shows like Sathia Saath Nibhana, Kubool Hai, CID, and others.
