US Administration Extends Immigrant Work Permit by Two Folds!

The previous United States President Donald Trump had made it tough for the immigrants to get the visa and the work permit was also restricted to increase the employment opportunities of the local Americans. Making it better for the immigrants made a big impact in the Presidential elections.
Going by the election promise, Joe Biden has been working on easing the visa process recently, the limit was increased massively. As another big news for the immigrants, the US Government had come up with a piece of good news saying that the expiration of work permits would be extended automatically.
The new development aims at benefiting the green card aspirants and spouses of H-1B visa holders with EAD. The existing extension period was pushed two folds. While the current period is 180 days, the proposed extension was taken to 540 days.
The concerned US Citizenship and Immigration Services said that the decision was taken to benefit the immigrants who are facing issues in getting an expansion. Backing the decision, the Department said that the current extension period is not helping the immigrants and for their benefit, the decision was taken.
While the immigrants are the major benefits of the new development, it is the Indian community that will eat the fruits of the new extension. Indians make up the majority of the share of Asians who reach America for better opportunities.
A recent study has found that the Indian Community is slowly growing in the United States and is taking up good positions at various entities in the nation. With the new development coming into force, the Indian community might get the most out of it.
On the other hand, the companies that hire immigrants need not look for fresh talent as the employees' work permits will end after a certain limit.
