The US public health authorities said, though the health worker developed a serious allergic reaction, the health condition of the worker reached the normal level and he is fine now.
It has been widely reported that last week, two health workers in Britain developed a similar allergic reaction after taking the vaccine candidate. The health workers have recovered now.
Based on the reactions developed by the health workers, Britain's medical regulator advised that people with a history of anaphylaxis or allergic to medicine and food should stay out of the vaccine.
However, Pfizer said, the vaccine candidate developed in collaboration with its German partner is safe and the public can take the vaccine in the vaccination program without any fear.
The vaccine administration has started on Monday this week in the United States. Elderly people, frontline workers, and health workers were being given the vaccine in the first phase.
