The New Delhi-based airline company Air India stays in the news for some or the other reason. Be it passengers having a tough time on the flight or passengers fighting with others it hit the headlines. Yet again the airline company is in the middle of the headlines.

An Air India flight that was supposed to reach Delhi from the United States suffered a technical problem and was forced to make an emergency landing. It is said that around 300 passengers were present on the flight when it made an emergency landing. All the passengers are said to be safe.

The Air India Newark (US)-Delhi flight (AI106) carrying around 300 passengers experienced a technical problem and made an emergency landing in Stockholm, Sweden. It is said that an oil leak in one of the engines is the reason behind the emergency landing.

As the Air India flight made an emergency landing, the airport authorities reportedly stationed fire engines as a safety precaution. Oil leaking was found from one of the engines of the flight, operated with Boeing 777-300ER. The pilot is said to have found this and informed the authorities.

Following this, the Air India flight was diverted to Stockholm airport and made an emergency landing. Due to the oil leak, the engine is said to have been shut. An investigation has been launched into this to ascertain the reason behind the oil leak that made the air carrier make an emergency landing.

As Air India launched an investigation we might hear something on this from the concerned people soon. Despite making an emergency landing, all the passengers on the flight are safe and nothing happened to them. People are showering praises on the presence of mind of the pilot for handling the situation better.

The Tata Group which got the Air India company is getting new air carriers from big companies like Airbus and Boeing. Experts said that the deal made by Air India is one of the biggest in aviation history in recent times. Air India ordered 250 Airbus, and 220 Boeing planes and announced the same saying that Air India is ready to welcome the aircraft soon.
