Have you ever wanted to know what benefits do the ex-presidents have after leaving the office? According to the Former Presidents Act, which was passed in 1958, ex-presidents are entitled to plenty of benefits following their administration, which includes pension, office space, funds for travel and personal staff.

The ex-president will have a lifetime annual pension of Rs 1.6 crore. If the former president dies before their spouse, the spouse gets an annual pension of $20,000 as well as franked mail privileges and lifetime Secret Service protection (unless they remarry).

The ex-president will also be reimbursed to move out of the White House and will be paid for setting up their office space, furniture, staff, and supplies.
