US says no prosecution of Modi

Clarifying US stand in this case Preet Baharara said as PM Modi will be under immunity as he is representing a democratic country. But he has left open to interpretation if he could be prosecuted in the US once he leaves office.The lawsuit against Modi was filed by the New York-based non Profit human rights organization American Justice Center (AJC), to bring Modi to court over the Godhra riots in India in 2002. In its petition AJC targeted to seek compensation for victims of those riots.
In fact, such history already exists in the case of former prime minister Manmohan Singh, where he summoned by US court in view of Sikh riots.India has not responded anything on Preet Baharara comments yet.
