Vaccine For Coronavirus Will Be Out In 18 Months: WHO

The World Health Organisation(WHO) said that the deadly virus coronavirus is renamed as "Covid-19" and this will be the new name for the virus which was identified in Wuhan of China.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the disease was renamed as Covid-19, as "co" stood for "corona", "vi" for "virus" and "d" for "disease".
He went on to say that the first vaccine for the coronavirus will be available in 18 months and said "so we have to do everything today using available weapons",
"The development of vaccines and therapeutics is one important part of the research agenda. But it's not only one part. They will take time to develop — but in the meantime, we are not defenseless," WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.
"With 99 percent of cases in China, this remains very much an emergency for that country, but one that holds a very grave threat for the rest of the world," he maintained.
"It's hard to believe that just two months ago, this virus – which has come to captivate the attention of media, financial markets and political leaders – was completely unknown to us," Tedros added.
