Vadnagar taught Modi how to swallow Poison
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 Oct 2017 5:03 AM GMTFor the first time since he became the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi visited his native place Vadnagar in poll-bound Gujarat. He went to BN High School where he studied and even smeared sand in that premises on his forehead.
PM claimed he could be able to serve the nation with the blessings of Lord Shiva since 2001 though few people kept spewing venom at him. He was referring to the Godhra riots in 2002. 'Vadnagar taught Me how to swallow poison. I am deeply touched by the immense love showered by people of my home town,' he told.
Modi sold tea at the Vadnagar railway station. He served as Gujarat CM for 13 years from 2001, before becoming the Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP in 2014.
There is overwhelming response for Modi's tour in Gujarat. It's a clear sign that people of this state are so proud of him and they would once again vote for BJP.
