Vanagveeti Arrest Leads To 144 in City

Andhra Pradesh state's political capital Vijayawada is seeing a high tension environment today with arrest of YSRCP leader Vangaveti Radha. Today YCP has organized a protest in the city against government decision of stopping registrations of houses of slum dwellers in Ajith Singh Nagar area.The party's City Convener Vangaveeti Radha has led the protest. Cops who have entered the scene asked Radha to calm down but he did not heed to police appeals.
Radha eventually arrested and taken to Payakapuram police station. News about the custody of YSRCP leader spread like a wildfire in the city and some YSRCP cadres are demanding at the police station for release of their leader. YSRCP cadre have staged protest in the premises of Police Station and were seen shouting slogans as 'Chandrababu Down Down'. This has led to prevalence of high tension in the city. Police have imposed 144 section in some parts the city.
