The manner in which BJP Mahila Morcha President Daggubati Purandeswari defended the nominal/no allocation of funds for Polavaram & AP Capital hasn't been appreciated by anyone. Expressing doubts over the raising cost of the National project, She alleged NDA didn't allot sufficient fund for Polavaram as AP Government deviated from the plan approved by it and also tried to include the expenditure of Pattiseema Project in it. She stated DRP for the New Capital wasn't prepared so far and hence the allocation wasn't made in the Union Budget 2016.
TDP Senior Leaders Varla Ramaiah described Purandeswari as Congress covert. He alleged NTR's Daughter joined BJP for survival after state bifurcation as TDP already shut its doors by then. Showing pity on her lack of awareness on Polavaram, He advised Purandeswari to stop making such objectionable comments as they might lead to closure of TDP-BJP alliance.
On the other hand, Buchaiah Chowdary opined Purandeswari don't even have basic knowledge on Polavaram. He asked the BJP Leader to realize that land acquisition for Polavaram alone costed Rs 15,000 crore during Congress regime
