Varna Box Office fate: Selvaraghavan incurred losses!

Anushka's much hyped flick Varna bombed at the Box Office so badly. The film failed to make a moolah both at the domestic & overseas box office despite solo release.
Makers have to incur huge losses as they haven't sold out the satellite rights until now. Generally, the hype around Varna might have easily fetched Rs 10 crore through satellite rights for the producers prior to the release. However, they missed a golden opportunity.
Varna was made with a budget of Rs 60 crore (both Tamil and Telugu) and hence a loss of at least Rs 20 - 25 crore is expected. Director Selvaraghavan has to bear the losses of Varna as per the contract he signed with PVP Cinemas. Selvaraghavan worked for Varna for monthly salary and profit-sharing clause has been included in the contract.
