Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu expressed his displeasure over the defection of Opposition MLAs into Ruling Parties for personal gains. 'Nothing wrong about choosing any particular party for social service. But, Changing parties while being public representatives is unacceptable,' he opined during the felicitation ceremony of former AP CM K Rosaiah.
Venkaiah Naidu suggested defectors to quit the posts before shifting loyalties to any other party. 'I am not pointing out AP & Telangana in particular. It's a comment made keeping the entire nation in mind. People's mandate need to be respected,' clarifies the BJP Veteran.
Expressing his dissatisfaction over lack of Question Hour in Parliament for five days during the budget session, Venkaiah Naidu advised Lawmakers to take part in debate rather than causing disruptions. He went on to say there are several reasons behind adjournment of House till March 5th.
Venkaiah appealed Telugu People not to ignore Mother Tongue. 'Slang of North Telangana and South Telangana isn't the same…That's the beauty, Unity in diversity. South Indians should learn North Indian languages & North Indians need to learn South Indian Languages. We need to protect our language & culture,' he says.
