AP CM Chandrababu Naidu interacted with media after Venkaiah Naidu was picked up as NDA's Vice Presidential nominee.

Venkaiah as Vice President: 'Amit Shah telephoned Me to inform about Venkaiah's elevation. I felt happy about it but at the same time we will miss someone who is very supportive. Venkaiah's role is crucial in the post-bifurcation phase. I don't think there will be any hurdles for Venkaiah to continue offering a helping hand to us. Of course, We mayn't able to discuss politics if he becomes Vice President. It's never going to be easy for someone like Venkaiah, who is in public life for several decades, to cut ties with Politics all of a sudden. I'm confident that he would pass in this test. There is no other leader like Venkaiah in South India. He practiced certain ideologies and a fighter all his life'.

'In 1978, Me & Venkaiah got elected as MLA for the first time. He managed to win despite TDP wave in 1983. Venkaiah fought for NTR during August crisis. He actively participated in Jai Andhra Movement and fought against Emergency as Student Leader. He is someone who never craved for posts or positions'.

When quizzed about the Meeting with Jana Sena Chief, Chandrababu Nadu informed date is yet to be finalized. He told they will be discussing about Uddanam Kidney issue.
