Why Venkaiah Naidu praised Sonia Gandhi?

Usually, We don't see Politicians praising their Opponents. But, A Union Minister stuns everyone by heaping praise on none other than Sonia Gandhi.
When asked about his reaction over the buzz about elevation of Rahul Gandhi as Congress President, Venkaiah Naidu opined its an internal matter of the Main Opposition. He, however, added, Congress remained united only because of Sonia Gandhi else it would have been disintegrated by now.
Saying that he is against dynasty politics, Venkaiah Naidu blamed Congress party for practicing it even in the 21st Century. He believes the word Dynasty is unacceptable in democracy, especially if its related to Politics.
Does Venkaiah wishes to convey the message 'Congress could survive as long as Sonia leads the party from the front & Making Rahul as Party Chief is useless'?
