Vice President Venkaiah Naidu showered praises on Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for making Telugu compulsory from Class 1 to Intermediate all over the state.

At the meeting held in Vijayawada, Venkaiah Naidu said: 'The measures taken by KCR to protect Telugu language are praise worthy. Telugu should be made mandatory in Government & Private Offices as well. Even applications seeking Jobs should be in Telugu alone. Those who forget their mother tongue aren't be humans. Telugu learning should be made compulsory in all the educational institutions to save the language. There is need for measures to protect Telugu language in AP as well'.

Venkaiah Naidu made these comments in the presence of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu at a meeting held in Vijayawada for the inauguration of National Waterways - 4. Even Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was present on the dais when Vice President spoke about the importance to be given for Telugu language.
