Former Indian Cricketer Venkatesh Prasad has applied for Team India Head Coach job. He is currently serving as Junior National Chief Selector and his 3-year term will end in September this year.

Venkatesh Prasad represented India in 33 Tests and 162 ODIs. He was the premium bowler for India during the 90s.

News of Venkatesh Prasad's entry into fray surfaced a day after Ravi Shastri decided to apply for Head Coach job. These two will have to compete with Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput and Dodda Ganesh to bag the Top Post.

Apparently, Supreme Court-appointed CoA came to know about rift between Kohli & Kumble only after IPL 10th Edition Final and it was too late by then. It's been reported that Kohli insulted Kumble in front of BCCI Officials by not speaking to him during the meeting after ICC Champions Trophy final. The Leg Spinner has stepped down as Head Coach due to the friction with Skipper.
