Comedian Venu Madhav is likely to contest as Independent from Kodada Constituency in the upcoming Assembly Polls. He will be submitting his nomination to the Returning Officer on Thursday. Yesterday, The Actor himself informed Media Houses about his political aspirations over phone.
Venu Madhav hails from Kodada. He completed his education in his native place and began his career as a Mimicry Artiste. After the formation of TDP, Venu Madhav performed on the stage right in front of NT Rama Rao. Impressed with his talent, NTR hired him to campaign for TDP during the public meetings. Venu Madhav had even stayed at the house of NTR for several days during that phase.
In search of growth to his career, Venu Madhav entered the Telugu Film Industry and attained the position of Star Comedian. He, however, wasn't able to bag offers in the past few years. Venu hardly made any public appearances during this tough phase. He was last seen while campaigning for TDP during Nandyal by-election.
TDP sought Kodada Ticket as part of seat sharing but Congress allotted it to the Sitting MLA Padmavathi (TPCC Chief Uttam's Wife). Is Telugu Desam behind the nomination of Venu Madhav in Kodada?
