One of the most celebrated US television personalities Larry King, who has entertained the audiences for more than six decades with a variety of TV shows and Talk shows breathed his last on Saturday.

The television production studio based out of New York announced the news of Larry King's demise in a Tweet. The announcement was made from Larry King's personal account.

In a long statement, Ora Media, the production studio, he has co-founded announced the demise of Larry King, who breathed his last on Saturday at the age of 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medican Center in Los Angeles.

"With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medican Center in Los Angeles," the statement reads.

"For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry's many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster. Additionally, which it was his name appearing in the shows' titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the tru star of his programs, and himself as merely an unbiased conduit between the guest and audience. Whether he was interviewing a U.S. president, foreign leader, celebrity, scandal-ridden personage, or an everyman, Larry liked to ask short, direct, and uncomplicated questions. He believed concise questions usually provided the best answers, and he was not wrong in that belief," Ora Media added.

In his career spanning more than six decades, he has interviewed several noted personalities. He had interviewed many US Presidents, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and others.

Though the exact reason for his death is not known, some media reports claimed that he succumbed to the Covid-19. He has tested positive for the pandemic a few weeks back.
