Vigilance Department Finds Key Information In ESI Scam

As a bold step in this process, former Minister, TDP leader Kinjarapu Acchenaidu along with two doctors were taken into custody on the alleged ESI scam during the TDP regime.
AP vigilance commission officers have submitted a key report which possesses all the required details to prove the former Minister guilty in the medical scam.
In its report, the Vigilance and Enforcement department said that while procuring medicines and other medical types of equipment worth Rs 975 crores in ESI a major scam took place.
The vigilance department has found out that Achchennaidu who was then the Labour Minister played a major role in this scam allegedly and he even forced the IMS director to issue orders to allot the tender to TeleHealth Services Pvt Ltd without calling for open tenders.
Reportedly, Dr. B Ravi Kumar, Dr. C K Ramesh Kumar and Dr. G Vijaya Kumar who worked as the directors of the Insurance Medical Services back then in the ruling of TDP called for a purchase order to procedure drugs and medical equipment without even constituting a Drug Procurement Committee.
