Liquor Baron Vijay Mallya broke his silence on the Rs 9,000 crore loan default case. He claims to be willing to negotiate with the consortium of banks for an One-Time Settlement to end the issue.

Vijay Mallya: 'Public Sector Banks have policies for One Time Settlements.Hundreds of borrowers have settled. Why should this be denied to us? Wish the Hon'ble Supreme Court would intervene and put an end to all this by directing Banks and us to negotiate and settle. We are ready'.

The Kingfisher Airlines Boss pointed out that Banks had rejected his earlier offer of Rs 4,000 crore without even considering. He claims to be in a mood to talk about settlement on a fair basis. He also opined allegations leveled against him by Attorney General only hints Government is trying to hold him guilty without fair trial.

Yesterday, Supreme Court questioned Vijay Mallya if he had declared all of his assets and truthfulness in the reports of transferring $40 million to his children. Indian Government has already placed an extradition request to UK for deporting Mallya who left India on March 2nd, 2016.
