Vijayasai calls Rahul's yatra as 'last gasp' of the Congress
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Aug 2022 2:33 PM GMTWho would you expect to react when the Congress Party plans a massive, 3700-km-long nation-wide yatra? Who would you think should it up and take notice when Rahul Gandhi takes up the walkathon across the country? Of course, the BJP should react. After all, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress are aiming to dislodge the BJP in the 2024 elections.
But, neither the BJP nor any other party has responded on Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo yatra. Of all parties, it is the YSRCP that has responded to the Bharat Jodo yatra. YSRCP General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy termed Rahul Gandi's yatra as the last gasp of the dying Congress Party. He said the party was dying slow and painful death and this yatra of Rahul Gandhi typifies this terminal illness of the party.
Vijayasai Reddy also called Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi's frequent visits to the court in connection with the Indian Herald case as 'Karma'. He perhaps was referring to the cases that the Congress had foisted on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and himself while it was in power. He said the Congress leaders were paying for what they had done.
Vijayasai's statements are considered quite significant as even the BJP has not reacted to Rahul's yatra so far. Rahul Gandhi is set to cover 12 states and walk 3700 km as part of the yatra. The yatra is set to being on September 7. The Congress party is making all arrangements for the success of the yatra.
