Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) released the list of Top 100 Tax Defaulters. Much to everyone's shock, Krishna District TDP Leaders occupy the Top 3 Spot.
Interestingly, Vijayawada West MLA Jaleel Khan who become quite famous with 'Physics in B.Com' comment topped the Tax Defaulters list with a due amount of Rs 14.86 lakh. Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani & Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Uma are at 2nd and 3rd spots respectively.
VMC managed to recover only Rs 71 crore out of the target Rs 165 crore revenue so far. The defaulters list included names of dominant Devineni Family Members, APSRTC & Private Organizations. If the situation is so pathetic in AP Capital, Imagine how worse it can get in the Rural Areas. Ruling Party Leaders need to set a good example rather than making news for all the wrong reasons.
