The Assembly Polls 2016 haven't been lucky for few Film Stars & Cricketers. Vijayakanth, Sharath Kumar & Sreesanth failed to win the confidence of the people in their constituencies.
DMDK Chief Vijayakanth got the shock of his life after he ended up 3rd Best among the contestants in Ulundurpettai Assembly Constituency. While AIADMK Candidate got 63,906 votes, DMK Candidate had given a tough fight by securing 57,850 votes. Captain, on the other hand, did receive just 26,950 votes.
All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi leader R Sarathkumar got defeated in Tiruchendur Assembly Constituency. DMK Candidate Anitha R Radhakrishnan claims victory with 88,357 votes against Sarathkumar who received only 62,356 votes.
Former Indian Cricketer Sreesanth lost to his Opponent contesting from Thiruvananthapuram Assembly Constituency in Kerala. 'Thanks to all the supporters for all the love and respect… will surly keep working for the people,' he tweeted, after the result was announced.
