AP Villagers attack Cops for Obscene Dances

Villagers of Pakala Pallepalem in Prakasam district allegedly attacked policemen after a heated argument over obscene dances during Ganesh Chavithi celebrations on Sunday night.
Acting on a tip-off, Singarayakonda SI Ramanaiah and his team reached Pakala Pallepalem Village and objected obscene dances performed by transgenders as part of the celebrations. This led to a heated argument and villagers pelted stoned against the Cops. While SI escaped with minor injuries, A Home Guard suffered serious head injury. Police Van has been severely damaged in the attack.
Additional Police Forces have been rushed to the village from Ongole to control the situation. When Police Higher Officials asked the villagers to hand over the people who attacked cops, They dared the cops to arrest all of them fearing torture of attackers in police station. Section 144 Cr.Pc has been imposed in the village to avoid any more untoward incidents.
