villages bar entry of politicians in Nagarjunasagar
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 March 2021 10:55 AM GMTTwo villages in Nagarjunasagar assembly constituency, which is going to polls, are hitting headlines for interesting reasons. Both the villages have barred the entry of political leaders for election campaign. The flexy banners erected at the entry point of the villages have asked the politicians to stay off
The two villages – Gagginapalli Vari Gudem and Kammarigudem in Nidamanur mandal of Nalgonda districts – are under the panchayat limits of Vempad. On Sunday, the people of these two villages have put up banners and posters asking politicians not to enter their villages. Both the villages have claimed that there is no development whatsoever in the village all these years. The politicians have promised a lot, but delivered a zilch. No politician remembers us once the elections are over, said a person from Kammarigudem. Hence they have decided not to allow anyone to enter into their villages seeking votes
The Nagarjunasagar bypoll would be held on April 17. The bypoll was necessitated due to the sudden demise of sitting TRS MLA Nomula Narsaiah. The TRS has nominated Nomula’s son Nomula Bharat as its candidate, while the Congress has put up senior leader Jana Reddy. The BJP is yet to decide on its candidate
