Virat Kohli is one of the best players in the current era. Over the years, he had added several records to his name. His terrific record while chasing the targets made him emerge as the Chase Master. Virat Kohli now holds the third highest centuries record, while God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar and Australia's Great Ricky Ponting are in the top two positions.

Run Machine Virat Kohli is all set to join the elite list. In the upcoming Test match with Sri Lanka, Kohli will add another feather in his illustrious cap as the match marks the 100th Test match for him.

Though it was earlier reported that fans will not be allowed to the stadium for Virat Kohli's landmark Test, the BCCI had reportedly changed its mind and might allow fans to enter the stadium. However, only 50 percent of fans would be allowed keeping the Covid situation in mind.

This record makes him even special for Virat Kohli, as even the veteran players like former skippers Mohammad Azharuddin (99), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (90) could not achieve the record.

Ahead of the rare feat, Virat Kohli received a special gift from the governing body of cricket in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI). The Board had made a special video to shower praises on Virat Kohli. Several former players including Sachin Tendulkar spoke highly about Virat.

Showering praises on Virat Kohli, former player Sachin Tendulkar said that it feels fantastic to see Virat Kohli play. Saying that the numbers made by Virta Kohli are impressive, his ability to motivate a generation remains a highlight.

"It's been fantastic to watch you over the years. Numbers will have their roles and but your real strength is being able to motivate the whole generation," Sachin Tendulkar said.

Virat Kohli has been an integral part of the Indian cricket team for over a decade. He played several match-winning knocks for the team. After Mahendra Singh Dhoni left his captaincy, Virat took over the responsibility.

During his stint, Virat Kohli took the Indian team to great victories across the formats. Under his captaincy, India had won the Border-Gavaskar trophies and almost won a Test series in England, the same was not achieved by previous skippers.
