Ashish Nehra announced retirement after the First T20 Match between India and New Zealand. It's never easy for a Fast Bowler to serve the nation at the highest level for 19 years. Such a feat can be achieved only with utmost dedication, hardwork and discipline.
Current Indian Skipper Virat Kohli was 13 when he met Nehra for the first time and that's after the 2003 World Cup. 'I was 13 then and struggling for a place in the school team,' he says.
And on November 1st this year, Kohli presented the farewell trophy to Ashish Nehra. He feels Nehra deserves the kind of farewell he received in the last match of his career. Post the match, He along with Dhawan carried Nehra on their shoulders.
India beat New Zealand by 53 runs in the first T20. Second and Third T20s will be played on November 4th and November 7th.
