Virat Kohli Promises To Come Back Strongly After T20 Wc Exit
Despite a horrible World Cup season, skipper Virat Kohli ended his stint as the T20 skipper on a high note by finishing his last match with a comprehensive win. Team India crushed Namibia by nine wickets in their last match in the World Cup. Due to Net Run Rate, India could not qualify into the semifinals despite winning three consecutive matches.

India's match on Monday was the last match for Virat as the skipper in T20 format. Before the tournament, he announced that he would step down as skipper to reduce the workload as he has been the captain for the three formats. After Monday's match, Virat Kohli penned a heartfelt note on his Twitter handle.

In the tweet, Virat Kohli shared pictures of the Indian team and said the team had set to reach the goal together but the team fell short and could not reach the goal. Expressing his gratitude to fans for the love and support, Virat Kohli said they will come back stronger.

"Together as one we set out to achieve our goal.Unfortunately we fell short and no one is more disappointed than us as a side. The support from all of you has been fantastic and we are grateful for it all. We will aim to come back stronger and put our best foot forward. Jai Hind," Virat Kohli tweeted.

At the Post-match presentation, Virat Kohli said it is an honour to have led the team. Run Machine Virat Kohli said, he feels it is the right time for him to reduce the workload. I had great fun with the team that had great players. We enjoyed playing together, he said.

Without confirming Rohit Sharma as the next skipper, Virat Kohli dropped a big hint at Rohit's promotion as the skipper saying that Rohit has been overlooking things in the team. His statements made fans feel that Rohit would lead the team.

The debate to make Rohit Sharma the T20 captain was not a new demand. It has been going on for a while. Ever since Virat said he would take a back step from the captain’s role, the demand got the momentum.
