Frustrated Player Behind Kohli-Rohit Rift Talk
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 Aug 2019 3:57 PM GMTSunil Gavaskar opined rumours of rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma could be the handy work of a Frustrated Player in the squad.
The Legendary Cricketer recalls similar rumours were spread when he was playing for the country in the 80s. There was a time when speculations of rift between Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev made headlined. Gavaskar was blamed unnecessarily when Kapil Dev was dropped for one Test Match played by India and England in 1984-85 Series.
Rumours of rift between Kohli and Rohit surfaced soon after the exit of India from the World Cup 2019 with defeat against New Zealand in the Semi Final. Gavaskar says, 'Such false stories were often spread by person who isn't a well-wisher of Indian Cricket. It's something a frustrated player in the squad would be doing out of jealousy. Few Administrators could use them for their own game of politics'.
Kohli & Rohit need to find out who is trying to spoil the dressing room atmosphere. Or else, Such baseless rumours could do so much harm to the Indian Cricket.
