Indian Test Skipper Virat Kohli lambasted critics for making objectionable comments against Indian Athletes over their performance in Rio Olympics.
After series victory against West Indies in the ongoing tour, Virat Kohli stressed the need to understand how Athletes prepare for big events like Olympics. 'Few people ignore how the Athletes give their heart and soul, that's something very hurtful. Credit should be given to them,' he said.
Kohli defended the Indian Athletes who weren't as good as players of other nations by saying, 'Even in Cricket, You can't perform every game and you don't win every series. 100 percent effort is what matters. Some of our athletes don't have even 10 percent of facilities that foreign sportsmen have'.
Taking a dig at Novelist Shobhaa De, Kohli commented, 'Few people sit and compare in our country. If comparisons were drawn on the facilities provided, One would realize what he/she is talking about!'.
