Kohli's Game Plan: Kumble resigns, Shastri steps in!

Anil Kumble stepped down as the Head Coach of Team India due to the differences he had with Skipper Virat Kohli. This gave an opportunity for the aspirants in race to bag the Top Post.
Interestingly, Ravi Shastri is now keen to apply for the Head Coach Job. He shared a good rapport with Team India cricketers while serving as Team Director in the past. He seems to be having the backing of Virat Kohli to overshadow other contestants.
Actually, Kohli wants Ravi Shastri to be appointed as Head Coach in place of Kumble in the past itself. However, Cricket Advisory Committee comprising of Sachin, Ganguly and Laxman preferred the leg-spinner over the all-rounder.
BCCI extended the deadline for submitting applications to July 9th. Already, Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Dodda Ganesh, Richard Pybus and Lalchand Rajput has applied for the job.
