Vizag Wins Award In Prestigious Smart City Expo

It is believed that, for the prestigious award, as many as 46 countries and 20 cities across the globe have competed. The shore City Vizag reached the final list under the Living and Inclusion award category.
In the 2020 Smart City Expo World Congress held in Spain, the awards were announced in seven categories. Vizag bagged third place in the 'Living and Inclusion Award' category.
The slum development project of Brazil bagged the first place, while the project on paying bills for the poor people through raising international donations of Istanbul, Turkey got second place.
The All Ability Park on the Beach Road in the shore city stood at third place in the awards expo.
After Vizag bagged the award, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) commissioner G. Srijana expressed her happiness and said such awards inspire them to work even more effectively.
