Araku trains To get Vistadome Coaches

But, passengers fail to enjoy the scenic beauty, as they hardly have space to sit properly in the overcrowded train. Seems railway department has finally decided to address the concern and nature lovers travelling to Araku by train may soon find the journey more enjoyable and pleasant.
If all goes as planned Araku might soon have a vistadome train. Vistadome trains are like Volvo Buses and have bigger windows on the sides and on the top offering a good view of the area. As per officials vistadome coaches are costlier about Rs 30 lakh compared to normal coaches. It wil be having a total of 108 sets and it was fully airconditioned and the cost of the ticket could be around Rs 300 to Rs 400.If all goes well, the Vistadome coaches could be delivered by July this year. But some of the officials expressed safety concern as this is a Maoist affected area
