Vizag Steel Plant Row: Ganta Srivisasa Rao Resigns In Speaker Format

When the news of privatising the Vizag Steel Plant broke out TDP MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who represents the Visakhapatnam North constituency has opposed the move and resigned from his position last week.
However, he faced severe criticism from the critics and leaders, for not sending his resignation letter to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker in the appropriate manner.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao has rectified his mistake and sent a new resignation letter to the Assembly Speaker. To see that the previous mistake will not repeat, he has sent not one but three resignation letters. He said that he did this so that at least one of the letters gets accepted.
He has sent the new resignation letter in the speaker format. The MLA has sent two resignation letters in a span of one week.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao has reached the protest site in Visakhapatnam today and joined the protestors. He has submitted his resignation letter to the representatives of the Journalists Forum.
The trade unions are said to be planning to intensify the ongoing protests. Reports claimed that on the 18th of this month, sit-in protests will be conducted across the city.
